Honorlock, an online proctoring service, is available at Indiana University to help mitigate the issues surrounding the administration of tests in qualified online and distance education courses. Fully integrated with Canvas, Honorlock’s approach to proctoring combines real-time artificial intelligence-based detection with live proctors who monitor behind the scenes. Students do not need to schedule their Honorlock exams in advance, and proctors are trained in de-escalation techniques to reduce test anxiety. Students have access to live support throughout the exam, and you can access a complete recording of the student and all activity on the student's computer during the proctored session. Suspicious and inappropriate activity is flagged in the reports and recordings.
